(Review) Claus Zinger – When You Fall

[bandcamp width=100% height=42 album=911511731 size=small bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5 t=3]

a4129215425_10

On “When You Fall”, the eclectic Claus Zinger delivers a symphonic mix with an 80’s pop anthem feel.  Claus blends his unique voice over the well layered electronic music with ease, in this feel free, feel good indie pop song. “When You Fall” is a sonic ride through emotion starting off slow paced, bursting into an energetic rhythm halfway in and back again.

The lyrics inspire the listener to stand up to their own setbacks and continue to “climb”. “When You Fall” is an all-around well produced indie pop rock record with a classic feel that delivers like new. The unorthodox, eclectic Claus Zinger’s sound is reminiscent of artists like David Bowie and Leonard Cohen. That is good company. With his unique sound and charismatic approach, Claus stands out as an indie artist to keep an ear on.

EXCLUSIVE: ” You Got To Understand, Meek Mill Is Signed To A Former Correctional Officer”

[After recently adding Philadelphia rap veteran Cassidy to his Chinga Chang Records, label head Daniel Herman tells SOHH readers if he’s concerned about Cass’ current feud with Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill.]

Meek Mill is a whole different level of hip-hop. You got to understand, Meek Mill is signed to a former correctional officer. You would really have to analyze Meek Mill on the same level that you would analyze Chris Rock‘s character in CB4.

Meek Mill may be talented, maybe he’s not, but he’s not rapping from a true street level. There’s no question that Cassidy has come from street background and has gone through his trials and tribulations. But there’s plenty of questions about Meek Mill.

So if you ask me, I would say Meek Mill is a studio rapper whose a liar and is signed to a former police officer. And that’s just not hip-hop.

What Chinga Chang Records is about is true hip-hop. That’s why we signed Kool G Rap, that’s why we’ve put out official joints with Big Pun, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane and Guru. These are true lyricists.

All we’re trying to do here is preserve true lyricists and true lyrical hip-hop. People like Drake, Waka Flocka and Meek Mill are basically doing nothing but ruining the game just so they can sell records to young individuals.

It’s sad but it’s okay because when we put these albums out, it’s slowly but surely going to outdo anything these anti-rap movements have implemented.

Chinga Chang Records is the realest hip-hop record label in the game. We’re not afraid to put out what Sony isn’t going to sell. When I put out music, it’s not so that it sells all these records. I’m putting it out because I know it needs to be put out. Whether or not it takes three, four or five years for the youth to realize how good of an album it is and it influences other people to make great music, Chinga Chang Records is going to basically be like Duck Down [Records] except we’re going to put out gangsta rap.

Will Diddy Be Hip-Hop’s First Official Billionaire ?

Diddy Clarifies Net Worth After Forbes’ Cash Kings Article

Diddy says his success is defined by the number of people he’s able to affect in a positive way.

Hip Hop entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs may have topped both Forbes’ Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2013 and Cash Kings 2013 lists, but according to the Bad Boy Records founder, it isn’t his wealth that solely defines his level of success.

During a sit-down conversation with Forbes, Diddy went on to state that it’s the impact he has in the lives of others that defines how successful he is. Diddy’s interview with Forbes comes shortly after he donated $250,000 to the Young Entrepreneur Network, an organization he feels he can “see the actual results of.”

“The way I define my success is how many people I’m able to affect their lives in a positive way…And from a kid coming from Harlem, if I can do it then hopefully that’ll inspire somebody else to do it,” said Diddy. “And another thing about being #1 on the list is that I openly accept the responsibility that comes with that. That economic power gives me the opportunity to give back. And so, because I was able to work hard and to earn that money, I’m able to take care of my family. I got six kids and that’s kind of expensive. And I was able to give away a quarter of a million dollars to an organization that I see the actual results of it building our future leaders, CEOs, and business owners.”

Diddy, whose net worth is said to be around $580 million, also clarified his standing on Forbes’ list by explaining to viewers that the money he’s worth isn’t the same as how much money he has in the bank. The Forbes list mainstay offered that clarification after being asked if he sees himself becoming Hip Hop’s first billionaire.

“I don’t know,” said Diddy, after being asked about securing the title of Hip Hop’s first billionaire. “I really can’t deny how humbling and how proud I am to be from Harlem, New York. Be from the inner-city and to be on the Forbes list. You know, I can’t deny that. But it doesn’t define me. If I become a billionaire or whatever the status is of what I’m worth. First of all, I do want to say to the Forbes cameras, I actually don’t—I want to tell you the truth. I don’t have that money in the bank. They’re saying that’s how much I’m worth. So, I don’t have that money in the bank. I want to make sure y’all are clear on that.”

On top of his involvement with Bad Boy Records, Diddy also has a deal with beverage company Diageo (owners of Ciroc, Crown Royal, Smirnoff, and other spirits). According to Forbes, on top or receiving a percentage of profits from Ciroc each year, the 43-year-old entrepreneur could receive millions if the brand is ever sold.

In addition to his deal with Diageo and Ciroc, Diddy is also heavily involved with Sean John clothing, The Blue Flame Agency, and Revolt television network.
