Electro punk meets trap with “Mr. Scary,” a new single from Monsters on the Horizon.
The new track is a social commentary about resisting the temptation to become complacent in a corrupted system. From the album art to the instrumentation and groove, none of “Mr. Scary” resides within the norm of traditional rock, hip-hop, punk or trap. Rather, Monsters on the Horizon have created something entirely different. A track that is in fact scary, but moves the listener with its slapping trap bass and electro synth soundscape. Previous EPs by Monsters on the Horizon including, “Howl” & “M.O.T.H.R.A.” vol I & vol II are available on all Digital + Streaming Platforms: iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music.
Keep an eye out for the next live shows featuring Monsters on the Horizon. Catch them 7/17 at Coney Island Baby, NY with Beauty in The Machine. They’ll also perform Saturday 8/4 at the Get Carried Away Music Festival which will be held on a Yacht departing from Brooklyn Army Terminal NY, as well as a mini tour during the Salem Horror Movie Festival October 10th – the 14th in Salem, Massachusetts. Make sure you bring a mask.
