“Stand Back” and take cover as Milwaukee emcee Taiyamo Denku puts a brutal bruising to a Psycho Les production. Along with the deadly wordplay, video director Wes Tank brings the brolic single to life with clever silhouette editing on top of limited bursts of colors. To add to the warrior style theme of the video, the guys from Zero to 100 MMA Gym host sparring sessions that are clipped into the mix. All of this is captured live on the northside of Milwaukee, the city Denku calls home.
“Stand Back” was released back in early November as a loose single but now with the addition of the video presentation, the song was added on as a bonus cut to Taiyamo’s upcoming album, “No Industry Standard”. Along with “Stand Back”, the Conway The Machine featured “Be Who You Are” are the only two songs that have been released thus far from the project. The Cypha Den Music CEO has an impressive line up of guest features in store for fans too. Catch verses from the likes of Lil Kim, Chino XL, KRS One, Saukrates and more. The album is slated to drop this June.
In the meantime however, enjoy “Stand Back” and keep your eyes open for more releases from Taiyamo Denku to come.
