Atlanta emcee/DJ/chef Dillon & globetrotting producer Batsauce present “Keep Pushin”, their new Sadat X-guested single from On Their Way, their forthcoming collaboration album also featuring Count Bass D, Greg Nice, Supa Dave West, Willie Evans Jr., Paten Locke and Qwazaar. Both natives of Jacksonville, Florida, Dillon and Batsauce created On Their Way over a series of sessions spanning several years and three continents, the duo decamping periodically to Dillon’s Atlanta studio, and Batsauce’s twin bases of Germany and Vietnam to record. A mainstay of London-based BBE Records, Batsauce has produced multiple albums for them over the years, both for his wife, soul singer Lady Daisey and as part of his psychedelic soul outfit Duct Tape. Dillon recently released Black Tie Affair, his collaboration EP produced entirely by Diamond D of D.I.T.C., which in turn came on the heels of Food Chain, his collaboration album with Paten Locke. “Keep Pushin” is actually one of the last songs we wrote for the record,” Dillon says. “Bat and I are both lifelong Brand Nubian/Sadat X fans and as we began to finalize the album, his name came up as a list of dream collaborations. When we had the right beat & concept, we reached out via an introduction from Diamond D. Diamond & I had just released Black Tie Affair and I had recently done some engineering work on the Diamond-produced Sadat X album The Sum of a Man so it was a natural connection.” On Their Way drops April 13 on digital/streaming/cassette, with vinyl shipping in May.
