From Timberland and Missy Elliot, to Pharrell and the Clipse, Virginia has been known to breed talented producer/rapper tandems. This is evident with upcoming artists Doug Finesse and Jack TP. After releasing their collaborative album Only Option in January, the two close the year with a new EP titled Late Four Class.
Late Four Class takes the listener on the journey of Doug’s life-changing memories, and struggles during his college years at Old Dominion University. The EP is a five song project with no features. Like Only Option, Jack produced, mixed and mastered the entire EP all while providing his signature unorthodox, bass driven sound. Doug says this project was not only an outlet to channel his life experiences, but also a way to give back to his supporters. Thanks to hundreds of ODU students rallying on social networks for Doug to perform at his alma mater’s annual Homecoming concert, he was able to be the opening act for 21 Savage in November.
Be sure to check out Late Four Class, as well Jack’s debut music video Fantasy, directed by Antny Rome. Look out for upcoming releases from the VA duo, as they promise to double the grind in 2018.
