Washington DC-bred, Atlanta-based rapper Yac-Yan Da Biznessman presents the Fray Wall-directed video for “Bonus”, the FaceCap1-produced single from his new mixtape Good Bizness Vol. 1, set to feature guest appearances from Marlon Asher as well as production from SwiftBeats and TwanBeatMaker. Yac-Yan graduated cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia with two degrees, while completing his first independent album Last But Not Least. He was voted as a finalist in several music contests including “How Down Is Your Sound” hosted by Ryan Cameron of Atlanta’s V103 and the Epic Records “Chevy Song Search”. He has worked with Universal/The Inc. recording artist The Thunderkatz and Pologrounds R&B sensation Boxie. Music Connection magazine named Yac-Yan as one of the top 25 demo’s submitted for the year. He has performed at the Texas Urban Music Summit, ATL Record Pool and his performance at the Riding Dirty Car Show was aired nationwide on the speed channel courtesy of Unique Whips. Yac-Yan’s 2009 single “Fast Lane” earned him radio airplay in over 20 US cities and charted top 10 on the Indie radio charts. ABC’s sitcom Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 used the song for two episodes and Verizon Wireless used Yac-Yan’s song “Let’s Get It” for its Fan Zone Contest. “Bonus is one of those records that wrote itself,” says Yac-Yan. ” I actually had the hook in my head for a few years. While working on the mixtape I got a beat that matched the hook perfectly. I felt like the hook was catchy and the song had a good energy to it so I made it the first single of the mixtape. It’s just a fun song about kicking it with your homeboys and homegirls.”
