38-year-old actress Paula Patton has revealed she and 36-year-old pop star Robin Thicke are separating after eight years of marriage. The two first met when Thicke was 14 years old, and began dating soon after. They eventually got married in June of 2005. They have one son, Julian Fuego Thicke, who was born in 2010.
“We will always love each other and be best friends,” Patton told People earlier today. “However, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
Both Patton and Thicke have been extremely busy as of late, with Robin’s latest album Blurred Lines topping the Billboad charts. He’s currently touring North America with singer K. Michelle in support of his album, which featured the smash hit title-track. Patton recently starred in 2 Gunswith Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, as well as the romantic comedy About Last Nightwith Kevin Hart and Regina Hall.
