Queens, New York emcee Rock Mecca presents Ironworld, his new album out now on Soulspazm Records featuring Roc Marciano, Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox, Kool Keith, Mach Hommy, Tragedy Khadafi and Canibus. The album is produced by Jake Palumbo, who has also collaborated with Ras Kass, Masta Ace and El Da Sensei. Rock’s previous projects include the album Pirate Radio Star (stream on Bandcamp) and “Prizefights” (stream on Bandcamp). When asked about the album, Rock says “The world is hard and cold and Ironworld provides the perfect soundtrack for anyone trying to conquer it. It centers around the concept of survival of the fittest. The album is themed in battle which appears throughout the album in the form of sports references, the street life, gladiator battles, martial arts and the bloodsport of rap.”
